Why it's Good
Highly available form suitable for vegans
Many vitamin D3 supplements are made from sheep’s wool, but our formula is made from algae and contains the natural cholecalciferol D3 form. The synthetic vitamin D2, which is often added to dairy products, is considered an inferior form of this vital nutrient.
Made in the UK
Our formula has been boosted with vitamin C to further support the immune system. It’s potent antioxidant properties combined with vitamin D3 influence the body’s immune response in highly specific ways.

Our Honest Opinion
Although vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin, vitamin D deficiency has become a global epidemic as we don’t get enough sun exposure. There is a wealth of research dating back many years showing that vitamin D3 has both a stimulating and modulating effect on the immune system. This not only helps the body fight infection and disease, but also suppresses the inflammation associated with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. Vitamin D3 plays a vital role in bone health as it is vital for the optimal absorption of minerals including calcium.
Vitamin D is needed for bone health
Vitamin D3 increases the absorption of calcium and phosphorus from food as well as promoting the re-absorption of calcium from the kidneys into the bloodstream. The presence of vitamin D stimulates bone cells to make new bone tissue, increasing bone density.
Vitamin D helps our immunity
Numerous studies indicate the link between healthy vitamin D levels and a strong immune system. A group of immune cells, known as T-cells, are critical for immune defence and are dependent on adequate levels of vitamin D in the blood. When a T-cell is exposed to a foreign bacteria and/or virus, if vitamin D is not present, it will remain dormant and unable to attack the bacteria/virus.
Vitamin D helps relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety
Vitamin D receptors exist in the brain. Studies have shown that vitamin D increases serotonin levels in the brain, improving mood and a sense of wellbeing.
Vitamin D helps reduce inflammation and pain
A study has suggested that people suffering moderate to severe pain demonstrated poor vitamin D status. It has been shown that vitamin D turns off a signalling mechanism within cells that promote an inflammatory response. People suffering from inflammatory conditions such as arthritis have benefitted from vitamin D supplementation.
